Summary[]
Ryosuke Seo is about to return a notebook that Yukari Miyako had forgotten in the cafe he works in, Hisakawa warned him that Miyako's "boyfriend" is in her house that he might meet with him in her apartment. As he is preparing himself for the worst possible romantic scenario, Mitsuya Maeno opens the door seeming oddly casual like a lover, catching Ryosuke off guard and making him assume that Miyako is two-timing.
With Ryosuke in her home, Miyako begs Maeno to not address with "Miyako-sensei" to hide her mangaka profession, he starts addressing her with "Yukari-chan" but continues to talk about her mangaka work explicitly. She tries to provide an explanation, but Ryosuke says he understands (he doesn't), and that if she were revealed it would be so embarrassing that she would not be able to go to school, still thinking that she is a two-timing, cabaret girl. Miyako is shocked to hear her profession is deemed that shameful.
Ryosuke hands Miyako's notebook to Maeno and is confused by the notes he put in it (mostly regarding tanuki). He asks Miyako what her relationship with Maeno is, both say it's work related, but Maeno insists his role stands out more, making Ryosuke think he is a dancer. Umetarou Nozaki barges in gifting Miyako extra food. Ryosuke is shocked Nozaki and Maeno know each other, and when Miyako states that they had the same relationship as she has with Maeno now, he assumes they are ex-boyfriends.
After hearing that Ryosuke knows about Miyako's mangaka work, Nozaki explains that he does the same work as her, and that Ken Miyamae (whom he has a picture of) does the same work as Maeno. From this information, Ryosuke assumes that Nozaki is a cabaret girl and Ken is a cabaret dancer as well. After hearing that Ken replaced Maeno, he assumes that Ken is Nozaki's current boyfriend, making the relationship chart a love-rectangle. He asks for Miyako's relationship with Ken, she says she just greets him from time to time, which is roughly the same as her treatment to him, making him suspect that he will be next in joining the love-pentagon.
Maeno, Nozaki and Miyako hear that Ryosuke assumed everyone was dating and cleared the misunderstanding by saying their relationships are all strictly work-related, relieving Ryosuke. He meets Ken on the way out and wishes him luck in his dancing career.
