Summary[]
Hirotaka Wakamatsu invites Umetarou Nozaki to visit him during basketball practice. Nozaki agrees since he wants to show some club activities in the manga. Wakamatsu is happy to see his senpai interested in basketball again—however, he dejectedly adds that he did not expect to see him wearing a sign that labels him as the female manager. Furthermore, Nozaki is observing the players only as reference material for his manga, not as the strong players that they are, further upsetting Wakamatsu.
Yuzuki Seo suddenly arrives, jolting Nozaki. However, Wakamatsu manages to greet her casually and informs her that the team would like someone to cheer them on. But Yuzuki’s “cheers” are actually nothing but taunts. The boys immediately tell Wakamatsu that they need their managers to do something about the pair—managers are supposed to be soothing. Nozaki and Yuzuki interpret this in their own crazy way—they dress up in bear costumes from the drama club. This makes the players notice them even more.
After changing out of the costumes, Nozaki and Yuzuki ask Wakamatsu to give them a trial run for the manager position. Wakamatsu hesitatingly agrees. Yuzuki agrees to help Nozaki, but he ends ups doing almost all the work. Moreover, at the suggestions of the other players, Yuzuki ends up injuring Wakamatsu just so she can prove how good her first aid skills are.
Later, Nozaki apologizes to Wakamatsu, but he gladly responds that it is reassuring to see his senpai’s softer side. Nozaki bluntly replies that “Seo will always be Seo.” Afterwards, Wakamatsu is wondering what Nozaki meant by that statement. As he is removing his bandage, he discovers a drawing on his forehead. He instantly comprehends what Nozaki-senpai meant.
Chiyo Sakura cheerfully tells Nozaki how much she enjoyed this month’s manga chapter (Nozaki had used the blunders between Yuzuki and Wakamatsu as the secondary characters’ storyline). He bursts out that he is responsible for developing such a romantic story—that person doesn’t deserve an ounce of credit, leaving Sakura completely confused.
