Chiyo Sakura discusses her feelings for Umetarou Nozaki with Mikorin. She insists that their relationship hasn’t progressed at all. Mikorin tells her to just be honest. She replies that that is impossible, and Mikorin responds that she must be worried about ruining their current relationship if he rejects her. She dejectedly answers that that is not the reason—she is sure that whatever she tells him will just end up as “manga fodder.”
Mikoshiba and Sakura then chalk out an action plan. They conclude that she needs to be more like his type Ken-san. However, Sakura concludes that the only thing Nozaki likes about Ken-san is his work efficiency. She then discusses the situation with her classmates. One of them suggests the “little devil ploy”-a technique used by women to string along the man. Sakura at first envisions Yuu Kashima mistreating Masayuki Hori and bursts into tears—if Kashima would do that to Hori-senpai, she would be heartbroken. Yuzuki Seo suddenly realizes that Hirotaka Wakamatsu has been using this technique against her all this time. Furthermore, once they both read the definition of “little devil” from a magazine, a horrified Seo realizes that she was a little devil all along.
After Seo confronts Wakamatsu about it, he is left speechless. Therefore, he asks Nozaki about “the little devil” and whether it has become a new fad among the school girls. Nozaki informs Mikoshiba of the situation, and the latter wonders what Sakura is working on this time. Nevertheless, he decides he will support her no matter what. However, both boys are stunned when Sakura arrives for work in an unkempt and disheveled state. Sakura is delighted seeing their reaction and can’t believe the “little devil” plan is working.
Watching her, Nozaki begs her to fix her appearance and etiquette. Sakura thinks that Nozaki has finally become conscious of her, but Mikorin concludes that he is just being a doting parent hovering over an unruly child. Nozaki desperately wonders aloud what will happen if Sakura doesn’t return to normal. Frantic, Mikorin realizes he has got to do something to curb the situation and hands Sakura her work. After she is done, Nozaki enthusiastically praises her by affectionately tousling her head. On the way home, Sakura tells a relieved Mikorin that she just needs to cinch her inking skills—then Nozaki will definitely love her. Mikorin replies that she shouldn’t play around with Nozaki too much—Nozaki was seriously worried right now.
