Ken Miyamae is forced to take over more of Mitsuya Maeno’s workload. He realizes that with each writer, he will have a different kind of experience based on the time they spent with Maeno. Although exceedingly annoyed and exasperated, Ken believes he can handle it because of the way he handled Yumeno-sensei in the past.
Meanwhile, Chiyo Sakura asks Nozaki if he has always had a good relationship with Ken-san. Nozaki admits that when they first met, they had a rocky start, keeping their distance in every way. Simultaneously, Ken recalls the trouble he had breaking the ice with Yumeno-sensei. Maeno didn’t help matters at all because of his typical clueless and offhand behavior. Finally, he managed to succeed because he proved to Nozaki that he had an active interest in his manga.
Presently, Maeno tells Ken that he will have to take on more work since another editor also transferred, increasingly angering the latter.
