Summary[]
While Umetarou Nozaki and Masayuki Hori are working on the manga, Nozaki receives a text from his little brother. Hori is shocked to discover that Nozaki has a little brother; he is even more stupefied over the lack of words that Mayu uses in his messages—Nozaki is able to comprehend what Mayu is trying to say with the limited words he uses.
The next day, Chiyo Sakura and Mikoto Mikoshiba see a young boy standing outside the school gate. Thinking that he looks like a “Yankee”, they conclude that Nozaki would jump for joy at seeing him and would definitely use him as a model for the manga. Nonetheless, the second they see Nozaki rushing toward the boy, they desperately try to stop him. He then explains to the amazed pair that this boy is actually his little brother, Mayu Nozaki.
As the conversation progresses, Sakura and Mikoshiba discover Mayu’s little quirks—he doesn’t talk a lot, hates doing anything that will expend his energy, and is incredibly lazy. Furthermore, both of them hear about how Nozaki’s parents eventually allowed him (after much convincing) to live alone, so he could pursue his manga career. Sakura and Mikorin add that Mayu must have been sad to see his brother leave home, but eventually he gave Nozaki his complete support. Mayu responds softly to the stunned pair that he was going to argue, but he decided against it because it would be too much work.
