Summary[]
Chiyo Sakura discovers in her fridge the chocolates she had bought for Nozaki-kun for Valentine’s Day. She had really tried to give them to him, but he had spent the entire day dashing around school to get inspiration/scenarios for his manga. He loves Valentine’s Day because of the endless variety the event holds. Conversely, he hates White Day because all the decorations and gifts are bland. Because of his unusual behavior, he created “endless misunderstandings” with his classmates. Furthermore, Hirotaka Wakamatsu “helped” him in his Valentine’s Day “manga reference collection hunt.” In exchange, Nozaki gave him some really expensive chocolates as a gift, also creating another misunderstanding with Wakamatsu’s classmates.
Meanwhile, Sakura asks Yuzuki Seo and Yuu Kashima about their Valentine’s Day experiences, especially if they have ever given chocolates to anyone. Both girls’ stories leave Sakura stunned. Kashima also adds how much she respects Hori-senpai.
Four months after Valentine’s Day is over, Chiyo Sakura carries the chocolates she bought for Umetarou Nozaki down the school hall. However, as she is carrying them, he bumps into her, and the chocolates fall to the floor. Fearing that she’s really angry, Nozaki eats one off the floor. That’s more than enough to make her happy. Nevertheless, he states that he feels awful about what happened, and he would like to treat her to make up for it. Although she at first declines, she then happily asks for candy, thinking to herself that it would be like a White Day present. This makes Nozaki stiffen fearfully as he thinks her words could actually be “code” for something else.
Finally, Mikoto Mikoshiba’s Valentine’s Day is the same as his birthday—therefore, everyone lovingly showers him with chocolate gifts. However, all he wants is a normal gift.
