Summary[]
Since there are more backgrounds than usual in this chapter, Masayuki Hori has to work harder. Furthermore, Nozaki’s unclear directions make things even more difficult for him. Sakura agrees and asks Nozaki how he managed all this time in the manga world if he couldn’t do his own backgrounds. Nozaki explains that it was difficult, but he wrote stories that didn’t require them at all. Hori and Sakura both conclude that he used his skills in the wrong way.
Hori then tries to convince Nozaki to learn how to draw backgrounds so he doesn’t have to rely on him. But Nozaki’s sense of perspective is all wrong. Moreover, when Sakura and Hori use figures to make him draw properly, Nozaki’s interpretations aggravate them further. Hori leaves after constructing a small table for Nozaki with the other dolls around it. He instructs him to use it as a reference and practice.
When Mikoto Mikoshiba arrives, he notices it and asks what it is. After Nozaki explains, Mikorin adds some more details to the model. Over time, Mikorin and Hori continue to add more details until an entire dollhouse has been constructed. Dumbfounded, Sakura wonders what in the world the boys are thinking. Furthermore, in school one day, Yuu Kashima comes across the tiny furniture Hori has been working on. She energetically asks if the pieces will be used in their next play, but he responds that they are for personal doll usage. She later confides in Mikoshiba, telling him that Hori-senpai has lately indulged in some strange hobbies. Piqued, Mikoshiba insists that it is perfectly normal—there is nothing wrong with him.
Finally, however, because of Mikoshiba and Hori’s constant meddling and scolding, Sakura watches Nozaki “close” the dollhouse project.
