Summary[]
Because of the unexpected success of the secondary character's story, Ken-san asks Nozaki to write more about them. However, both characters were modeled after Yuzuki Seo and Hirotaka Wakamatsu; Nozaki has misgivings about continuing their relationship. However, when Waka shows up at his Nozaki-kun’s house with a movie ticket that Seo gave him, asking him what he should do, Nozaki tells him to go ahead with the date and tell him all about it later.
Following Nozaki’s advice, Wakamatsu decides to go ahead with the invitation. Furthermore, he decides to pull more “advice” from shojo manga. The next day at the movie theater, traditional date related clichés occur—Wakamatsu’s formal outfit compared to Yuzuki’s casual one and deciding how to assert one’s authority over which arm rest to use.
Once the movie starts, Wakamatsu feels he can finally relax and enjoy it. However, Seo starts laughing at all the horrific and bloody scenes. Moreover, Seo “pretends” to fall asleep, but Wakamatsu realizes that she is just being lazy as she eats popcorn while she rests. She incredulously asks him if he never gets sleepy. Wakamatsu admits he is a bit of an insomniac. Still, the second Seo starts humming the BGM she hears from the movie, Wakamatsu immediately falls asleep.
After the movie as they walk out, both of them share their completely different reactions to the movie. Although things are proceeding uncertainly in Wakamatsu’s eyes, Seo eagerly asks him to talk about the movie even more. They go to a café to discuss it, but Waka starts feeling sick as Seo excitedly describes all the gory details. He states he really shouldn’t have come. Seo replies that next time, she’ll invite some other boy instead. Waka is shocked and upset; he says he wants to go with her no matter what.
In Nozaki’s manga, Sakura happily reads about the secondary characters’ progress, believing that now their love story could be beginning. Nozaki darkly replies that both of them probably just got caught up in the moment. Sakura asks why he is always so negative when it comes to those two.
