Summary[]
Yuu Kashima discloses to Mikoto Mikoshiba that Hori-senpai has been really distant lately. He immediately tells her she needs to show more appeal and be more aggressive. Simultaneously, Hori tells Chiyo Sakura and Umetarou Nozaki that lately Kashima has become really annoying. As he is putting the manga away, Sakura asks why he carries it around. Hori tells her that he keeps it on hand for background reference. Worried, Nozaki asks if Hori-senpai’s reputation would be ruined if he lost his bag. Hori assures him that he almost never puts his bag down.
However, the next day, Hori is forced to throw his bag at Kashima as she tries to run away from Drama Club practice. Dazed, Kashima picks up the manga that fell out, and she is surprised to see that it’s marked with such detail. She ends up buying a copy and can’t believe that Mikoshiba also has such in-depth knowledge about it. Mikoshiba explains to Kashima that readers of the manga are supposed to relate to the heroine. She cannot believe that boys are moved by such a story and then asks Nozaki about it. After hearing his complex thoughts, she mistakenly concludes that it has become the “male high school students’ Bible.”
As a result of talking to Mikoshiba and Nozaki, Kashima assumes that Hori wants to be the heroine. To test this theory, she asks Hori to read lines with her, giving him the heroine's part. Because of this, Hori assumes Kashima is finally taking practice seriously, making him happy. Kashima misinterprets his happiness as proof that he wants to play the heroine. Kashima attempts to fulfill Hori's "wishes" by giving him her skirt to wear and nominating him to play the heroine. Each instance; however, angers Hori even more until he ends up hitting her with a blackboard. Walking home with an injured Kashima, Mikoshiba told her to stop it already. However, she confidently answers that she completely understands her senpai’s feelings.
At Nozaki’s home, a dejected Hori tells Sakura and Nozaki that he thinks Kashima hates him now—her behavior is becoming even more erratic. Hori describes how Kashima coordinated a female outfit for him to wear by giving him a new piece of clothing each day. Although he is annoyed with Kashima's antics, Hori is actually impressed with the outfit coordination, making Nozaki state that his “Kashima good will” has actually gone up.
