Summary[]
Yuzuki Seo explains to Umetarou Nozaki that she is trying to gain Hirotaka Wakamatsu's trust. She notices that around most people, Wakamatsu is always smiling and friendly, but around her he is less polite. Seo attributes this to Wakamatsu giving her special treatment.
Nozaki suggests to Seo that she should start reading shoujo manga to develop some emotions. Seo reads a story where a boy treats a girl harshly even though he's kind to everyone else. This makes Seo upset at the character. Since she doesn't understand shoujo manga very well, Seo asks Chiyo Sakura to summarize it for her. Sakura tells Seo that the boy in the story is a tsundere, and brings in Mikoto Mikoshiba to help explain the concept. Sakura ties down Mikoshiba to keep him from running away, and when Seo starts to get bored of the explanation, Sakura ties her down too.
Convinced that Wakamatsu must be a tsundere, Seo follows Wakamatsu around whenever he tells her to go away. Seeing this, Mikoshiba assumes that Seo must be copying Sakura's stalking techniques in order to get closer to Wakamatsu. When Wakamatsu hears that Seo might be copying Sakura, he smiles at the idea that Seo might have a soft spot for him. This confuses Seo, since she thinks that she's no longer receiving special treatment from Wakamatsu.
When Seo tells Sakura and Nozaki about how Wakamatsu suddenly smiled at her, Nozaki draws a manga to try to visualize Seo's feelings. At first, he assumed Wakamatsu's smile was a threatening smile right before getting into a fight, but Seo corrects him. Nozaki then draws a scenario where Seo is upset that Wakamatsu smiled since it means she's no longer special. The Seo he drew said she had a stabbing pain in her heart. However, instead of coming to the obvious conclusion that Seo was in love with Wakamatsu, he explained the stabbing feeling with Seo having intercostal neuralgia.
When Wakamatsu hears that Seo thinks he is a tsundere, he tries to correct her. In doing so, he inadvertently made himself look like a tsundere anyway. He then reads the manga pages that Nozaki drew, and picks up Seo to take her to the infirmary, thinking she has intercostal neuralgia. Seo thinks this means that Wakamatsu must trust her, so she tries again to reveal that she is Lorelei. Wakamatsu drops her to the floor in irritation.
