Summary[]
Yukari Miyako invites Mikoto Mikoshiba to a restaurant in secret to discreetly talk about his suggestive manga collection. At first, Mikoshiba is embarrassed, but Miyako explains to Mikoshiba that she is trying to write something for a male oriented magazine. Mikoshiba calms down and says he doesn't mind lending Miyako his books.
Meanwhile, both Miyako and Mikoshiba are unaware that Hina Hisakawa is also at the restaurant. She misunderstands the situation, thinking Miyako and Mikoshiba are on a date. Hisakawa is concerned at first that Mikoshiba is just a playboy, but when he earnestly expresses that he hopes Yukari can get into his manga and talk about it with him, she notes that his intentions seem pure.
This assessment is changed, however; when Mikoshiba asks Miyako if she's alright with darker content, such as confinement. Hisakawa becomes concerned when Yukari seemingly readily agrees, and equates it to being on a thrill ride.
When Miyako asks Mikoshiba if he's into datker suggestive content, he denies it, and explains that he sometimes just gets bored of normal love stories and wants to read something scary or weird. He then brings up a manga he read where the main character wore a bikini but covered up her face. He then expresses his frustration at the fact that her face was already revealed in the first chapter. Hisakawa, of course, overhears and misunderstands their conversation, frantically texting Ryōsuke Seo about it.
Ryōsuke arrives at the restaurant in order to buy Hisakawa lunch in return for borrowing notes from her. He instantly recognizes Mikoshiba and assumes that Hisakawa must be misunderstanding the situation. However, when he asks Mikoshiba and Miyako what they're talking about, they look away suspiciously.
Miyako and Mikoshiba now realize that Hisakawa had been listening in on them, so they attempt to stop talking about manga. When they can't find anything to talk about, they instead attempt to disguise their manga conversation by only using the first initials of the people they're talking about. This becomes too much of a hassle, so they eventually just join Ryōsuke and Hisakawa and talk about college together.
Afterwards, Ryōsuke tells Yuu Kashima about the conversation while at work. Mikoshiba visits the café, but to Ryōsuke's surprise, he still hasn't warmed up to him. Kashima explains that Ryōsuke would have to have tea with Mikoshiba about five more times in order to warm up to him. This makes Ryōsuke question if Mikoshiba could ever date a normal girl, let alone Miyako.
In the end, Miyako's conversation with Mikoshiba leads her to write a story similar to the one Mikoshiba complained about, except the character wears a tanuki head which she doesn't take off. The editors are horrified, except for Mitsuya Maeno, who seems to approve of the tanuki mask.
