Summary[]
While meeting with Ken Miyamae, Umetarou Nozaki asks why he's never been offered to go to a signing event for fans. Ken explains that it would effect Nozaki's work since his portrait of Sakiko Yumeno looks like a high school girl. When Nozaki tries to suggest disguising himself, Ken shoots the idea down since it obviously wouldn't work.
Nozaki confronts his friends Mikoto Mikoshiba and Chiyo Sakura about wanting to go to a fansign event without showing his face. After trying to act out a typical fansign event, Nozaki suggests that Mikoshiba go in his place. When Mikoshiba tries to act it out, Sakura realizes that it looks like Mamiko herself is signing autographs.
Mikoshiba then suggests that Sakura should try doing the fansign for Nozaki instead. After acting it out for a bit, Nozaki realizes that it wouldn't be right if the actual author wasn't present for the event. As a result, he tries to do a helping hands routine where he hides behind a big coat and controls his arms while only Sakura's face is seen. However, Nozaki is unable to properly draw Mamiko without being able to see what he is doing. When Mikoshiba asks Sakura if she is alright being so close to Nozaki, she replies that she would like to stay that way for a little while longer. Nozaki also says he would like to stay that way for a little bit too, since he wanted to try the helping hands gag where the person hiding in the back tries to feed the visible person in the front.
When meeting with Ken again, Nozaki said that he would rather be honest with his fans by never going to a fansign event, rather than sending someone else to go in his place. However, he wrote an update as Sakiko Yumeno claiming to be super popular in her/his class, prompting Ken to ask how he was being honest.
