Summary[]
Umetarou Nozaki checks out some books on hypnotism to see if he can write a story where someone makes their crush fall in love with them through hypnosis. Chiyo Sakura eagerly joins in and attempts to hypnotize Nozaki, but to no avail. Nozaki takes over since the hypnotism books say that it's easier for someone with a low, calm voice to hypnotize somebody. Nozaki successfully hypnotizes Sakura, but he makes her hungry instead of ordering her to fall in love.
When Yuu Kashima appears, Sakura suggests that Nozaki hypnotize her instead since she's so honest. Nozaki doubts this, and once he makes Kashima fall asleep during hypnotism, he accuses her of faking being hypnotized. To make sure that she isn't faking it, Nozaki asks Kashima to sing, since she is tone deaf. Nozaki and Sakura think that perhaps her singing will be better if she just has some confidence, but when Kashima sings, it sounds just as awful as always. Sakura then suggests that they make Kashima do something romantic, such as viewing Masayuki Hori differently. At first, Nozaki takes this too literally. Then when Sakura suggests making Kashima's heart pound whenever she's around Hori, Nozaki draws a scenario where Hori angrily grabs onto Kashima as he usually does when she skips drama club, but with her heart pounding in that situation, it just makes Kashima look like a pervert. As a result, Nozaki orders Kashima to forget everything that happened the next time she sees Hori.
Next, Nozaki and Sakura run into Hirotaka Wakamatsu, who then starts to read one of the hypnosis books that Nozaki is carrying. Just by reading the words on the page, Wakamatsu hypnotizes himself, and begins to act like a dog. When Yuzuki Seo sees Wakamatsu acting like a dog, she assumes that it's an intimidation tactic.
Once Kashima returns to the drama club room, she greets Hori as if he were a new member, due to the fact that Nozaki accidentally hypnotized her to forget everything about him.
