Summary[]
Hina Hisakawa mentions to Yukari Miyako that she has a boyfriend. Miyako is shocked, since she has never heard about Hisakawa's boyfriend before. When she asks Hisakawa how they met, Hisakawa responds by saying they bonded over a shared dislike of their college cafeteria's miso soup, and their relationship developed naturally from there. (Her boyfriend later reveals that it was actually corn potage, and not miso soup.) Miyako is baffled that a relationship can spring from something so mundane, since shoujo manga typically has some dramatic event which leads to romance. As a result, she challenges Ryosuke Seo to come up with a natural way to confess to somebody. Ryosuke suggests going shopping since that's what Hisakawa and her boyfriend are doing on their date. Miyako is amazed by how naturally Ryosuke asked her out. While shopping, Miyako tries to get Ryosuke to pick out clothes for her, since that's what characters in shoujo manga typically do, but he suggests for Miyako to ask an employee instead. Then when Ryosuke mentions his sister Yuzuki Seo, Miyako figures that saying "I wish I could be your sister" would be a natural confession. This backfires, however; because Ryosuke absolutely does not want Miyako to act like his sister Yuzuki. In the end, Miyako tries to console Ryosuke by saying that she will never go to his house or meet his sister. Hisakawa and her boyfriend are stunned by how naturally Miyako rejected Ryosuke.
